A Bit About Me...

I am a realistic optimist. I know the world can be cruel and unyielding, and still, I remain hopeful. My personal and professional experiences have taught me to hold multiple truths at once - I know that we are so capable of holding it all - much more than we think. We just should never have to hold it alone.
I am endlessly fascinated by humans, by this life, by the ways we endure and begin again.
I try to live as though I already arrived at the end of my life, but was given a do-over. Obviously I am not always able to think this way... but when I do, I find I am able to step outside of life's cyclical and sometimes mundane nature and have more appreciation of the little things! It also helps me recognize where I do, and certainly do not want to spend energy.
I love poetry and thoughtful language (a product of growing up with English teacher parents), hiking, road trips (car karaoke performance time), exploring, acknowledging every animal I ever come across, thrifting (knick knack collecting), a good sauna session and crafting.
If you’re looking for the more formal (and arguably less interesting, but equally important) details - my credentials and education - you’ll find those below.
My educational path includes a BA in Psychology, a diploma in Social Service Work, and a MA in Counselling Psychology. For more than a decade, I’ve worked alongside people in supportive roles, bearing witness to a wide range of lives - each with their own stories, struggles, resilience, and strengths. My work has spanned frontline settings with youth and adults, as well as counselling work with individuals, couples, and families.
Over time, I’ve developed a deep and evolving understanding of mental wellness, relationship dynamics, and individual growth. Much of what I know continues to be shaped by the people I work with, who consistently deepen and challenge my understanding.
